In less than a month, the Democrats and Republicans will be getting their party started. From August 25-28, the Democratic National Convention will roll out their eco-friendly gathering in Denver. A few days later, from September 1 to 4, the Republican National Convention will get busy in Minneapolis-St Paul. (Interestingly, both are promoting cinema projects: The Dems are asking people to "share your ideas on what democracy is (or isn't)" on Cinemocracy, while the GOP just wants to know "Why are you a Republican in 2008?" on YouTube.)
We, on the hand, just want to know what are your favorite films about political campaigns. We've asked five candidates who've covered the political process extensively to stand back from the current race and vote on their five favorite campaign films. And vote on your favorites below in the comments section. As Al Capone once said, "Vote early and vote often."
