In Hamlet 2, down-but-not-out actor Dana Marschz (Steve Coogan) moves to Tucson to teach drama to apathetic high school students. But by the film's end, the desert town's torpor turns into a fever, as his class bonds around the last chance to be heard. While the arrival of the railroad in 1880 changed this dusty frontier town into an essential stop for commerce and development, its citizens never lost their sense of adventure.

When New York photographer Henny Garfunkel moved to Tucson six years ago, she found a world filled with strange beauty and cultural exploration. She takes us on a photo journey into Tucson's world of film and filmmakers. In addition, Nick Dawson gives us a quick survey of the movies that borrowed the city's natural beauty to tell their stories.
